MuTaCo is a unique, immersive opportunity for writers and musicians to learn to collaborate in new ways to bring stories to life through words and music. Over the course of a weekend, teams of composers and writers will collaborate to create stories. Teams will rehearse with a director to present and perform their stories at the end of the weekend.

Who is MuTaCo for? Everybody with an interest and passion for musical theater and drama.

While we don’t ask for experience in writing or composing for musical theater, we need to make sure composers are capable of reading and writing music and writers have experience in writing dialogue and lyrics or poems. While the main focus is on musical theater writing, Artistic Director Mike von der Nahmer will encourage each participant to look for their own unique approach in telling stories with music and words.
